I found medicine in the knowing that out of my Wholeness my magic is diminished. My spells and my enchantments are distorted when I am wrapping them in misaligned fears or imposed tensions. I was listening IN prayer prior to reading this and I heard... It matters how you get there. I am sitting with that invitation as it translates for me. Reading this added another layer to this insight. The ingredients matter to my magic. My Wholeness matters to my magic.
Yes, Rhiannon! Thanks once again for such an insightful comment. Heka instructs that before a witch casts a spell (and I'm using that term widely to encompass any creative act, not just works of art), she or he must first establish their po'ai, or domain. We see this in traditional witchcraft when the witch draws a circle or pentagram around themselves. Establishing the po'ai, being totally grounded in one's own particular and authentic medicine through knowledge of one's self, is essential. Without that, the spell will be distorted. This is the first step, and one lacking in most of Western culture. I'm thinking of creating a course, or perhaps working with people individually to establish their po'ai, but have not yet received what that will look like. This series is a first step.
Wow! A course would be magical!!! I love all that you are sharing, it feels like a needed clarity for those of us REMEMBERING how to cast spells with our Gifts.
I am constantly fascinated by the process of remembering. Some people seem to remember all in a flash and be aware they are, while others (me) remember gradually and don't actually realize what they know until they are writing it down!
